I was born and raised in the state of Hawai'i; half of my life on the island of O'ahu and the other on the island of Hawai'i. As the oldest of [now] 7, it was expected of me set an example and further my post-education.
After graduating high school in 2010, I came to Las Vegas on an athletic scholarship to College of Southern Nevada hoping to come to a decision about a career path while playing softball. Instead, I got homesick and moved home for a year.
I got a job, well two jobs, worked day in and out and was reminded how opportunistic living in Las Vegas was, so i decided to move back to Nevada in 2012. At 20 years old, all that seemed important was the money in my pocket and the memories I made. Until I met Joshua.
I met Joshua in 2013, and the rest is honestly history. He has blessed me with being the stay-at-home mom that I am, and the support I need to kickstart this new journey of mine. We've gotten to the point in our lives that documenting the things we experience become a time machine for our children, and an outlet for other moms and families alike.
I started Not Your Typical Mom as a hobby and to give me something to look forward to in the wee-moments of Me Time that typical mommies have in a day.
I'm not your typical mom, and some times readers might not like what I have to say. But I can promise that everything I say will be honest and true to myself. And that's what doesn't make me the typical mom.
